AWS Savings Snapshot

30 minutes with me on a screen share of your AWS bill. Afterwards you get a short written list of where I would look first, with an estimated monthly saving for each idea.

No credentials, no access to your account, no sales pitch.

What happens in the 30 minutes

A working session, not a demo.

  1. 1

    Your setup

    about 5 minutes

What you run on AWS, what changed recently, and what you want out of the call.

  2. 2

    The bill, together

    about 15 minutes

You share Cost Explorer or send a few screenshots. We go through the biggest services, what has grown, how compute and Kubernetes are sized, and what your commitments cover.

  3. 3

What I would look at first

    about 7 minutes

I tell you on the call where I think the money is, and why.

  4. 4

    Your questions

    about 3 minutes

If a deeper review makes sense, I say so. If it doesn't, I say that too.

What to bring

Whatever is easiest for you.

  • A screen share of Cost Explorer

You drive. A read-only billing user is enough.

  • Screenshots of Cost Explorer

Grouped by service and by usage type, for the last 6 months.

  • A cost export

A Cost and Usage Report (CUR) export or a CSV from Cost Explorer, if you already have one.

I never ask for credentials or access to your AWS account for the Snapshot. Helpful but optional: the rough monthly bill, whether production runs on EKS, and any date that matters, such as a commitment renewal, an audit or a board meeting. How I handle access and security.

What you get after

A short written list you keep.

After the call I email you 3 to 5 savings ideas.

  • What it isIn one or two sentences.
  • Estimated monthly impactAs a range.
  • Effort and riskLow, medium or high.

The numbers are estimates from what we looked at together, not a guarantee. You can act on the list yourselves, hand it to your team, or do nothing with it. There is no obligation.

Who it is for

Teams with a bill worth a second look.

  • B2B SaaS and fintech teams on AWS spending roughly $15K a month or more.
  • Teams running EKS in production, at any bill size.
  • CTOs and finance leaders who want a number before a budget, a board meeting or a commitment renewal.
  • Teams whose AWS bill grows faster than revenue or usage, and nobody owns it end to end.

If your bill is smaller and you don't run Kubernetes, I'll tell you honestly whether 30 minutes is worth your time.

FAQ

Before you book.

Is it really free?
Yes. The Snapshot is free and there is no obligation. If a paid review would help, I explain what it covers at the end of the call, and you decide.
Do you need access to our AWS account?
No. You share your screen, or send screenshots or an export. No credentials, no roles, no changes.
What happens to the screenshots or exports we send?
I use them only to prepare your list, and I delete them after I send it.
Can you sign an NDA first?
Yes. Send yours, or I can send a mutual NDA.
How accurate are the savings estimates?
They are ranges based on what we looked at in 30 minutes. A review with read-only access gives firmer numbers.
What if we are not on AWS?
The Snapshot is built around AWS billing. If you run on Google Cloud or Azure, book anyway and mention it; I'll tell you if it fits.
Who will I talk to?
Me, Vander Nunes, the engineer who does the work. I'm a CNCF Kubestronaut, and I work in US business hours.
How is this different from the Cloud Cost and EKS Review?
The Snapshot is a 30-minute look at the bill, without access. The Review goes deeper with read-only access to the bill, the clusters and the pipelines, and ends with scores, quick wins and a written plan.
